About Jericho Specialized Entry Training
Jericho Specialized Entry Training, LLC provides sworn law enforcement officers with the skills needed to pick locks or perform other covert or surreptitious breaching techniques in the course of their duties. The skills students develop can and have been used in practical applications such as welfare checks, probation and parole searches, search warrant service, arrest warrant service, securing businesses, vehicle searches, vehicle lock-outs, and much more. LEAD INSTRUCTOR
Dan Elting, owner, founder and lead instructor has over 20 years of experience as a sworn police officer in Arizona. He has trained over 6000 officers in the State of Arizona and around the country in numerous subjects including tactical training, specialized entries/lock picking, anti-terrorism, human trafficking, and additional topics. He is a Certified Locksmith who has extensive experience in both classroom application and field entries.
Dan has been assigned to patrol, worked as a detective, done undercover work serving numerous search warrants, taught police tactics, and been assigned to Arizona POST, where he worked with agencies around the state providing training. He has taught as adjunct faculty at Chandler-Gilbert community college, and is a member of the Arizona Criminal Justice Educators Association. He is a current member of the National Tactical Officers Association (NTOA).
Dan is patent owner and co-owner and Vice President of Lock Jockey International.

“Since 1990, the FBI has publicly recognized the achievements of special individuals or organizations in our country that have made significant contributions in the area of anti-terrorism, criminal organizations, drug prevention, and/or violence education/prevention. From a list of highly competitive nominees, the Director of the FBI selects an individual from the Field Office’s territory who has had an exemplary impact on their community in the fight against these crimes/criminals, and then awards them the distinguished “Director’s Community Leadership Award.”
ASSISTANT INSTRUCTOR
Patrick Schabel is in charge of logistics, and is a key instructor in all facets of training. Patrick is a Certified Locksmith and has experience in both classroom application and performance of real-world entries. He is a top-notch instructor who brings over half a decade of experience in lock picking and specialized entry techniques into the classroom.
Additionally, Patrick is a co-owner and Vice President of Lock Jockey International. He is a patent owner who continuously strives toward new innovations as well as improving on existing technology.
